Gaps in Commerce Digitalization for B2B SMEs in India 🇮🇳 – 2024
And Why?
1. Limited Adoption of Digital Commerce:
Many B2B SMEs in India across the industries, still rely on traditional offline sales channels. While larger enterprises are ahead in eCommerce adoption, SMEs are lagging behind due to a lack of awareness, technological know-how, and understanding of potential returns on investment.
2. Complex Sales Processes:
B2B businesses often have complex pricing models, bulk order systems, and customized catalogs. Current eCommerce platforms are not always tailored to handle these specific B2B requirements, leading to challenges in digitizing processes.
3. Fragmented Digital Tools:
Many B2B companies use isolated systems for inventory, ERP, CRM, and sales. A lack of integrated digital commerce solutions prevents them from having a seamless flow of data and processes.
4. Resistance to Change:
A significant portion of SMEs in India remains hesitant to shift from offline to online sales due to cultural factors and concerns about how digital commerce can positively impact their business.
